On March 22nd 2016, hip-hop lost one of its most iconic voices when Malik Taylor (better known as Phife Dawg aka The Five Foot Assassin) passed away following a 25 year battle with diabetes. The mark he left on the music industry is well documented, most notably for being a founding member of A Tribe Called Quest, one of the greatest & most consistent rap groups of all time.

This mixtape from Jerry Nice entitled "Live & Direct – A Phife Dawg Tribute" pays homage not only to his work within the group, but also several solo tracks & guest features throughout his career.

All proceeds from this album go to The American Diabetes Association.

RIP PHIFE DAWG.
